Starting in Negombo, our tour will take you through some of the most iconic sites in Sri Lanka, including the Dutch Canal, Dambulla Cave Temple, Sigiriya Rock, Polonnaruwa, Akukana Buddha Statue, and the Tooth Relic Temple in Kandy.
Our first stop on this cultural tour is the Dutch Canal in Negombo, where you can witness the remnants of Dutch architecture and engineering. From there, we'll head to the Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that boasts over 150 Buddha statues and paintings dating back to the 1st century BC.
Next, we'll visit the majestic Sigiriya Rock, an ancient rock fortress that stands over 660 feet tall and is surrounded by lush green forests. Climb to the top and be rewarded with breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes.
In Polonnaruwa, we'll explore the ruins of the ancient city, once the thriving capital of Sri Lanka—Marvel at the intricate architecture and engineering feats of this ancient civilization.
We'll also visit the towering Akukana Buddha Statue, an 11-meter-high statue dating back to the 12th century. This statue is considered one of the best examples of ancient Sri Lankan sculpting.
Our final stop on this cultural tour is the Tooth Relic Temple in Kandy, home to Sri Lanka's most sacred relic - the tooth of the Buddha. Admire the stunning architecture and immerse yourself in the rich history and culture of Sri Lanka.
